On Sunday, Jonathan had an accident at church. His finger got caught in a door and began bleeding pretty bad. It was his right thumb, and the nail turned purple and his whole thumb began to swell very noticeably. Jonny and I panicked and took him to the pediatric ER. Jonathan was such a trooper during the x-ray, then the cleaning and bandaging of his thumb. The doctor gave him Tylenol with codeine and it really made him sleepy. He is much better now and his thumb is healing nicely. Perhaps he won't lose his fingernail after all.
