"The times we find ourselves having to wait on others may be the perfect opportunities to train ourselves to wait on the Lord."
Joni Eareckson Tada
Waiting, waiting. Waiting for the phone to ring with news from our adoption attorney. Waiting for our fingerprints to come back from the FBI so our homestudy can be completed. Just lots of hurry up and wait these days. Sprinkled in the waiting are moments of pure joy with my son: seeing his face light up with a new discovery; watching him concentrate on how a camera works, his chubby fingers not always doing what he wants; hearing him call me "mama" when there was a time I thought this word might never be applied to me. In these moments I rehearse God's goodness to me. He gives me strength and grace to continue to wait.
